How to Use PoolTogether on Optimism ?
PoolTogether was launched on Optimism 2 weeks ago, and over 1700 wallets have deposited funds to PoolTogether despite this short period of time.
This article aims to introduce PoolTogether, show you how to bridge assets to Optimism and deposit USDC with PoolTogether. By depositing into PoolTogether on Optimism we will get a chance for thousands in daily prizes and guaranteed OP tokens rewards.

What is PoolTogether?
PoolTogether is a prize savings protocol, enabling you to win by saving.

Step1: Add Optimism to MetaMask
- Go to https://chainlist.org/?search=optimism and connect your wallet.
- Then click on “Add to Metamask”
- Click on “Approve” in the Metamask popup. Now you have successfully added Optimism Network to your wallet.
Step 2: Bridge Your Assets to Optimism
- Go to https://app.optimism.io/bridge and connect your wallet.
- Go to “Deposit” section.
- Choose which network you want to bridge from and choose your asset
Optimism bridge supports sending assets from Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Gnosis Chain.
- Enter the amount that you wish to bridge and click on “Deposit”
- Then you will see a window with information about transaction. Click on “Deposit” again.
- Approve the transaction on Metamask pop up by clicking “Confirm”
- You are done. Just wait for your transaction to confirm on network.
Step 3: Swap ETH to USDC
We will need USDC to deposit PoolTogether. Therefore, we will swap ETH to USDC through Uniswap.
- Go to Uniswap and connect your wallet. (Make sure you’re on Optimism network)
- Choose the token you wish to trade and the token you wish to receive.
- Enter the amount that you wish to trade. Either input amount for the token you want to trade or the output amount for the token you want to receive.
- Click on “Swap”
- Then you will see a window with information about transaction. Click on “Confirm Swap”
- You are done. Just wait for your transaction to confirm on network. Then you will receive your token.
Step 4: Deposit into PoolTogether
- Go to PoolTogether and connect your wallet. (Make sure you’re on Optimism network)
- Enter the amount of USDC that you wish to deposit and click on “Review Deposit”.
- You need to approve this transaction before depositing USDC. It allows to send USDC. Click on “Confirm approval”. This is necessary once per network.
- Approve the transaction on Metamask pop up by clicking “Confirm”
- Once approval transaction is completed you will see Deposit confirmation screen. Click on “Confirm deposit”
- Then confirm the transaction on Metamask pop up by clicking “Confirm”
- You have successfully deposited USDC into PoolTogether. Your deposit is eligible for all future draw!
Note that any prizes that are unclaimed after 60 days will expire.
